Japanese real estate developer Mitsui Fudosan and Israeli software start-up Dronomy jointly conducted a test of UAV at a construction site in Nihonbashi, Tokyo to demonstrate the autonomous flying technology that Dronomy developed. The companies created a 3D model of the structure being constructed with data collected by the drone.

The demonstration took place at Nihonbashi Muromachi-3 redevelopment project being constructed by a joint venture of Kajima, Shimizu and Sato Kogyo. Dronomy captured and stored the data on the cloud run by the company, which will help the developer and the contractors monitor and analyze the construction process.

Dronomy, founded in 2015 by a group of engineers including Israeli military veterans provides a software which enables drones to fly autonomously and precise 3D mapping. The company intends to promote their service to Japanese businesses on the success of the cooperation with Mitsui Fudosan. (2017/07/25)
