Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism started providing prior information on development plans of expressway rest areas to be built in about 30 locations nationwide, intending to invite the private sector’s investment in development. The information is open to public on MLIT websites.

MLIT hopes to revitalize local communities by newly developed rest areas that private companies such as real estate developers take part in. The website offers information such as names, places, schedules and contact person. (2013/12/18)
