Japan’s Kumagai Wins Order to Build Twin Tower in Tiapei

Japanese construction company Kumagai Gumi announced on June 28 that its wholly owned subsidiary, Taiwan Kumagai, has received an order to build a new large-scale complex with a total floor area of over 520,000 square meters in Taipei City. The project is part of a development with a total cost of approximately 266.5 billion yen being undertaken by Taiwan’s one of the largest developers and a major investment company. Taiwan Kumagai will establish a joint venture with two local companies to build twin towers consisting of two high-rise office buildings and large-scale commercial facilities.

The name of the project is "Taipei Twin Towers C1 and D1". The construction site is located in front of Taipei Station. The two towers conjoined at the lower floors will have four basement levels, while 288-meter Building C1 will have 56 floors above and a total floor area of 203,154 square meters and 368-meter Building D1 will be a 74-story building with a total floor area of 319,553 square meters. The value of the order and the overall construction period have not been disclosed. (2022/06/29)
